Why does my media have a purple banner under it?

The purple banner under a media upload is an A.I. indicator. Some members use artificial intelligence platforms to generate unique media files. These uploads are different from bate-fuel, copyrighted material and otherwise “found” content. If the Content Review guys believe that a piece of media has been A.I. generated, they may mark it as such to let everyone know that the media is in compliance with BateWorld Terms of Service.

If you have had a photo or video tagged as AI generated or manipulated by mistake, please get in touch with Support.

Is A.I. generated media okay on BateWorld?

While we really appreciate your original media and your handmade penis art, we are also okay with your experiments with A.I. interfaces as long as they comply with existing T.O.S. guidelines.

Please let us know that the media is A.I. generated by checking the box next to This media was generated or manipulated using artificial intelligence. This will help the Content Review guys in getting your stuff approved as soon as possible!

Has BateWorld been hacked?

We work as hard as we can to make sure that any personal information (other than what is shown publicly on a user’s profile) is always protected. What we can’t protect against is common scams and attempts at extortion that may make it seem like a hacker gained information from our site.

So called “sextortion” scams arrive via email and explain (usually in broken English) how someone has allegedly gained control of a webcam and recorded a user in compromising situations while visiting adult websites. If the hacker isn’t paid (often a strange and uneven dollar amount, often in bitcoin), they will supposedly release the video to everyone on the user’s contact list.

That sounds quite scary, until you realize how truly commonplace these scams are. (Both the UK and New Zealand have been investigating such scams for years). And once you’ve ignored your first one, it gets easier and easier to mark them all as spam and move on. These emails aren’t connected to adult websites or a user’s browsing history and are sent to anyone who has an email address, with the hope someone will feel they’ve been “caught,” and pay up.

Three quick tips for sextortion emails:

  1. NEVER click any links in the body of the email, visit any sites listed, or reply to the sender, under any circumstances.
  2. NEVER send money or attempt to share any kind of payment information with a bitcoin wallet or PayPal address displayed in the email.
  3. Immediately change any passwords that might be listed as “proof” that the hacker has access to your account. Here’s how to change your BateWorld password right now: How do I change my password?

What’s the difference between Batelists and Favorites?

Batelists are like playlists for media. Here you can save images and videos of your BateWorld buddies that you want to go back to again and again. You can customize your Batelists in whatever way you want.

The Favorites page is where you can save just about anything else on the site including: blogs, searches, forum posts, events, groups and profiles, as well as media.

What are Batelists?

A Batelist is your own personal bate fuel folder that you create and fill with photos and videos from other BateWorld members. You can create and curate more than one Batelist. Think of them like a making a playlist for images and video.
