How do I create a forum discussion topic?

Navigate to My Profile at the top of the homepage. Choose My Forums from the dropdown menu. A new page will appear listing all open forums.

Click on the forum where you’d like to create your topic. A new page will appear with a list of all current topics in that forum

Click on Post New Topic in the upper right hand corner. A new page will appear for you to create your new discussion topic. Fill in the text boxes. Click Post Topic. 

Your new forum topic is now live.

How can I report an error or other problem with the site?

First check out the Recent News section on the homepage. Often if there is a big site error or problem, we will have posted something there.

If your issue wasn’t addressed there, contact the BateWorld Support Team. Someone will investigate and try to get the issue resolved right away.

How does Available, Busy and Offline work?

No activity after 5 minutes will change your status to Busy, then after 7 1/2 minutes it will change to Offline.

How do I stop the pop ups that come up on the side of the screen when in Chrome.

How do I change my password?

Navigate to the My Profile tab at the top of your screen. In the drop down menu click on Account Settings. A new screen will appear titled Account Settings. Click on the Change Password tab. Enter your current password in the Old Password text box. Enter your new password in the next two text boxes. Make sure to click on Save Changes to save your new password in the system.

How do I clean up my friend’s list?

Go to your Community tab, then click on Friends.You can delete by clicking on the box to the left of each picture, then clicking on delete at the bottom.

How do I create a Group?

BateWorld Premium Members may create groups.

Navigate to the My Profile tab at the top of your page. In the drop down menu click on My Groups. A new page will appear listing all the Groups you have joined. Click on Create New Group at the top of your group list.

A new window will appear. Fill in the Group Name and Group Description text boxes, and choose a category for your group from the drop down menu. You can also choose how members interact with your group here. Then click the Add Group button.

A new window will appear where you can upload a group photo and edit details.

Your group is now live.

Why did the room I created in VidChat get deleted?

Any room with no activity for one week will be automatically deleted.

How do I speed up my VidChat frame rate?

Increasing your light in your room will help speed up the frame rate.

How can I opt out of being posted in the What’s Hot column?

Members who don’t want their photo and video content to display in the What’s Hot column on the home page can opt out by changing their profile’s privacy settings. Go to Main Menu/My Profile/Privacy Settings and click on “Don’t display my photos or videos in What’s Hot listings.”
